The generally applied Admissions Criteria are the following:
to be aged 17+ at the start of the programme
to have a good proficiency in English, for example to have passed the GCSE English with at least a C grade or IELTS 5.0 exams. (see note below)
Admissions Criteria are flexible to accommodate for various candidates. Applications will be considered from applicants who do not meet the normal minimum age requirement for admission. Each application will be considered on an individual basis, and the decision taken at the discretion of the University of London.
A common challenge that most students face is they do not meet the entry requirement in the English proficiency for direct entry to universities. Foundation programme is a key solution in addressing that gap in providing you with the extra support to improve your grades.
Support is always available, as an additional part of the IFP curriculum, to help you improve your English proficiency and to be able to better cope with your classes and exams.
Students shall need to have their own lap-top computer (or mobile device) with an internet connection to access the University's website and the Student Portal.
The University of London sets minimum basic requirements because your study resources are accessible via the Student Portal and it is vital that you can access this regularly.
